Paramedic curates the #1 vegan experience with a full day of entertainment. Attendees will enjoy an outdoor celebration focused on community and sample world-renowned cruelty-free vegan foods.

Known for curating the ultimate vegan experience, Vegan Vibez is revolutionizing the culture of health and wellness. The annual festival’s mission is to show the world that veganism isn’t just about eating plants. On September 24, 2022, the festival’s curators kicked off their tour with their first stop in legendary downtown Las Vegas at 727 Fremont St., with doors opening at 2:00 p.m. Attendees can expect amazing vegan vendors from across the country, roller skate dance competition, vegan catwalk fashion show, special guest performances, live performances, packed bars and a fire dance show by Golden Soul Circus.

“Our mission is to educate and encourage Americans to lead healthier, plant-based lifestyles,” said founder Ken Free. “While many people believe that healthy eating is about eating salads, our community-focused outdoor celebration offers a variety of plant-based alternatives.”

Ken Free is a firefighter with over 20 years of event curation experience. He started his vegan journey four years ago during paramedic school. After seeing thousands of patients with medical problems, he recognized the need for a change in our culture’s diet and wanted to raise awareness. He came up with the idea of pushing the fun forward in a healthy way and brought Coachella to the world with a vegan twist.

“Meat doesn’t have a flavor until you give it one,” Free continues. “That’s the message I want to spread for plants and bring together what I love.”

Since planning the festival, committee members have made amazing new vegan friendships like the LasVegan Food Bank. You had the opportunity last month to volunteer to provide free vegan food boxes to the community.

“It was such a pleasure to have you [Ken] with us and we appreciate his support,” said Laurice Asima, coordinator of the LasVegan Food Bank. “We are really looking forward to the Vegan Vibez Fest.”
