Dugan’s U, the agency’s training program, typically schedules two events per year to help agents gain knowledge, build industry relationships, and build the confidence they need to succeed. However, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented some of these events for a number of years. This event was originally scheduled for 2020 and was then rescheduled for 2021. finally happening this year.
During their stay in Washington, DC, the agents learned about the latest developments in the travel industry as well as sales and marketing best practices. They had the opportunity to network and share ideas with other Dugan’s Travels agents and meet suppliers in a small group.
All agents stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Old Town is a bustling, historic neighborhood on the Potomac River characterized by cobblestone streets and 18th-century townhouses. It’s a great central location for experiencing the area’s rich history and for easy access to all of DC’s attractions.
Seeing the event as a great success, Jennifer Dugan says, “After waiting two years for this event, we are so grateful that it finally happened and was a success. We believe it shows how we, as travel agents, have overcome the limitations and difficulties we have experienced during the pandemic.”
