Smith, CeCe Winans, and Olympian Scott Hamilton, among others. Ham and his team in one: eight entertainment will continue to represent these customers with award-winning producer / director Robert Deaton and singer / worship leader Charity Gayle.
Chapman added, “Greg, who has been a valued friend for many years, brings years of wisdom and unparalleled knowledge and experience, and Alex, who has been part of my management team for the past several years, brings great passion and energy.” . The entire team is world class and I am honored and excited to work with them!” Chapman was previously managed by The Stable Collective following his 28-year partnership with the Creative Trust.
“We are delighted that Steven has entrusted one season: eight to his management,” says Greg Ham. “It has been an honor to call him a friend for many years and we are excited to see what this partnership will produce.”
The news comes on the heels of Chapman’s latest project, Meanwhile, Now courtesy of Provident Entertainment/Sony Music. Through his new songs, Chapman shares freely and willingly sheds light on his pain and struggle, as well as his faith, joy, redemption and hope. He says, “After much struggle, I finally had to shut down questions about what sounds or sounds appropriate, or how new music from me will fit into the current Christian music landscape.” I had to silence those words in my head, sit down with my guitar, and give myself permission to write whatever moved me, let it come out however it came out. “
The first radio single, “Don’t Lose Heart,” was inspired by Chapman’s journey through the shadowy valley of grief and loss that he and his family have walked through. Its hope but not apparent sincerity and truth quickly connected with the audience and took the song to the top of the radio charts, currently at No. 9 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart.
Eager to share new songs live, Chapman is hitting the road this spring on his 24-city “Still Tour.” Kicking off on March 2nd in Springfield, Missouri, be sure to check out the updated tour schedule HERE.
