Odds/predictions for Seahawks & NFC West Week 3

Week 2 didn’t go well for our beloved Seattle Seahawks or my predictions. Ironically, Week 2 was the complete opposite of Week 1. In Week 1, the Seahawks were the only NFC West team to win. In Week 2, all but the Seahawks won their matchup.

Entering Week 3 at 1-1 should come as no surprise to 12s. The way they suffered their first loss caught many by surprise in a smashing loss to the 49ers. Seattle will now return home to face a winless Atlanta team who could easily win 2-0.

As for the rest of the West, hope is on the horizon again. Obviously the 49ers are beating the Seahawks. Arizona was one of many teams to make a big comeback against the Raiders in the second half. Kyler Murray put on a show to give his team their first win of the season. The Los Angeles Rams almost fell victim to a huge lead if it weren’t for the game-winning Jalen Ramsey interception.

Seahawks and NFC West: Odds and Predictions for Week 3

Just like the Seahawks this coming Sunday, I’m trying to repeat my game selections.

JLuppy’s Week 2 record: 0-3

With every team tied 1-1 in the NFC West, Week 3 presents an early opportunity for one of those teams to jump into first place.

Coming up this Sunday are some big matchups that will test each of these division teams one more time. Here are the NFC West odds and predictions for Week 3.

Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks (-1.0)

Despite the winless record, the Atlanta Falcons are not to be overlooked. However, Atlanta allows opposing teams over 100 yards per game on the ground. In a close game between two even teams, I expect the Seattle Seahawks’ running game will make the difference in this game. Expect Kenneth Walker III to be heavily involved after a disappointing debut. The running game will eventually open up the deep shots down the field for DK Metcalf that Seahawks fans have been desperate for.

Los Angeles Rams (-3.5) @ Arizona Cardinals

Last year, the Rams ended the Cardinals season in a dominant manner in the wild card round. A good reflection of Sean McVay’s 6-1 win record against Kliff Kingsbury. Just like last weekend, I expect this Sunday to be another game for Los Angeles where everything gets done right. Arizona’s weakness comes on the defensive side. I don’t see that they have an answer for Cooper Kupp, and more importantly, Cam Akers looked like his former self against the Falcons last week.

San Francisco 49ers (-1.5) @ Denver Broncos

My only angry pick this week comes from this Sunday Night Football matchup. Russell Wilson not only shines brightest in prime time, he is also 16-4 in career games against San Francisco. Despite the win in Week 2, Denver was under scrutiny. At a nationally televised game, I expect a sharper, better prepared Denver team. The Jimmy Garoppolo hype is now real. But I expect a big mistake from him in this game to make the difference.

JLuppy’s tips:
Seattle Seahawks (-1.0)
Los Angeles Rams (-3.5)
Denver Broncos (+1.5)
