Monster Hunter Rise: The Sun Title Update 4 will launch on February 7, Capcom said.

Free Title Update 4 (Version 14)
- New monsters
- Velkhana – Known as the “Iceborne Wyvern” or the “Iceborne Wyvern,” few records of Velkhana exist. Therefore, they were kept secret. Their ice breath is so cold that it can create walls of ice and debris out of nowhere, and is even powerful enough to freeze other monsters. Some reports suggest that Velkhana will freeze their opponents in order to establish their territory.
- Rise Crimson Glow Valstrax – The Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax are monsters who have found a way to overcome their hardships. By defeating the Kurio virus, they gained great strength and new abilities. Their monstrous energy gave them great strength, even explosive power. Few can withstand their vicious attacks. When their anger reaches its peak, they will go into their arousal state and their body will begin to glow.
- Searching for Anomaly – Meet new challenges and rewards in Anomaly Research including:
- New monsters, including Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax.

A cold weather few scientists have ever seen is on its way to Frost Island. Velkhana, an invisible old man who emerged as my main monster World Hunter: Iceborne, spotted by Elgado Outpost spies. This cool-natured monster reflects the calmness of many creatures left frozen in their wake. By glaciating natural water in the air, Velkhana can create large columns of ice when engaged in combat, and can even freeze the most hot-headed hunters. Cold winds always bring good news, and the arrival of the Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax proves that adage to be true. What this Old Man got up to became a mystery, because it was considered dangerous to study. Hunters dedicated to gathering more information for their daily scientific expeditions can encounter Velkhana starting at MR 10 and Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax starting at MR 160. The Qurio-curious will also have a new Anomaly Research at their fingertips as well, with Afflicted Chaotic Gore Magala joining A8★ Quests, and Anomaly Research Skill rising to 220. Free Title Update 4 also brings a variety of new paid DLC, including armor for hunter Lance Gunn and the Big Ran page. These adorable doodles, drawn by the underrated artist Minoto, have been featured since release. Monster Hunter Rise and helping new hunters understand the ins and outs of Kamura Village. Speaking of Minoto, players can also purchase the “Minoto” armor set with new animations, scenes, numbers, music, and hunter voices. To celebrate the release of Free Title Update 4, players can also register to gain access to a free Palamute armor location that makes their angry friends take on the appearance of the Elder Dragon Velkhana! The Monster Hunter Rise: The Sun The update is available now for Switch and PC via Steam, and is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this summer.
