NASHVILLE, TN — On September 24, 2022, Love, Peace, and Zin will present The Golden Age of Fashion, an exclusive fashion event to launch international fashion designer Zintrise Altovise’s new couture collection. The event will feature a blend of art and fashion, including live poetry and musical performances, as well as a designer presentation highlighting vendors, a panel discussion featuring Altovise and other fashion influencers in Nashville, and a runway show featuring ready-to-wear fashion and couture -Designs highlighting some of Nashville’s finest designers. The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The PSV Store at 100 Taylor Street, Suite A22B, Nashville, TN 37208 and is free to the public.
The Golden Age of Fashion pays homage to an era that began in 1947 after World War II, when world-renowned designer Christian Dior’s new designs marked the beginning of a momentous decade in fashion history. During this time, fashion began to celebrate the end of the war and set a standard for tailoring and haute couture.
Altovise believes fashion can now be used to celebrate the end of the pandemic in a similar way. “In the last two years, many high-end brands have either had to switch to collections that have a heavy focus on loungewear, or have gone out of business,” she explained. “Like the 1940s, we are now in an era where designers can begin to express themselves through glamor and elegance. We chose the term Golden Age because it has been described in the past as an era that revolutionized the idea of fashion.”
Fashion and show designer Zintrise Altovise has been featured in over 15 online publications including Vogue Italia and other international and local magazines. She was selected as a featured designer for the International Fashion Showcase in Birmingham, England and is recognized worldwide for fashion shows and events in countries such as Denmark, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands and others. Altovise was recently nominated for ACHI Magazine’s Georgia Woman of Influence and Georgia Woman on the Rise.
Another focus of the event is to support the growth of Nashville’s fashion scene. For example, the panel discussion will focus on changing the idea of what fashion means in Music City by those who have a real impact on the clothes they wear and sell. The fashion show segment not only features the Altovise collection, but also streetwear by well-known Nashville designers Ayjah and Ashley Rashell. “The evolution of fashion is changing in many places, and I would love to see Nashville see the same growth in this industry as it has in so many other areas of art, music and even business,” Altovise said. “In many places, fashion, art, and music go hand in hand, so my goal is to bring concepts used in other cities to Nashville. I would love to see fashion become a part of the culture and I hope to take Nashville to that level.”
During the Sip-n-Shop, Love, Peace and Zin will offer items for sale including room sprays, hand-painted jackets, vintage luxury designer bags and clothing made from sustainable items like bamboo and silk, along with wine and champagne. Enjoy. Other vendor items are also available for purchase.
