Esteam Health CEO Keynoting at Symposium Featuring 23

Bernalillo, NM, Oct. 31, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Alyssa Janney, founder and CEO of the startup Esteem Health, will keynote at an upcoming virtual conference: A New Approach to Aging Care and the Interdisciplinary Arts. Health Programming, 2 November 2022.

Esteam Health is a private company launching evidence-based, interdisciplinary arts and health programs as a service for aged care facilities in 2023. The primary goal of Esteam Health programs is to improve the inherent capacity of aged care facilities for older adults. This virtual conference keynote will give Janney an opportunity to make the case for what makes interdisciplinary, evidence-based arts and health programs different from what is now prevalent in aged care facilities. Janney reports, “The challenge for program developers is that due to high turnover rates in aged care facilities, program quality and integrity can suffer. But there are also serious opportunity costs for residents who rely on evidence-based programs for their cognitive, social, emotional , physical and spiritual health.”

We believe it is time for a paradigm shift in aged care. We are innovating at the intersection of science, medicine, technology and art.
An interdisciplinary body of knowledge is building opportunities to use these findings in a sustainable manner, enabling us to address some of the most challenging issues in aged care. We know that arts experiences measurably change the body, brain and behavior, and we translate this knowledge into specific practices that improve internal capacity, such as lower residential dependency rates in aged care. These benefits are expected to create a ripple effect of efficiency improvements that will transform elder care in a way that is enjoyable for insurers, health care providers, aged care organizations, employees and most importantly…residents of aged care facilities.
