Chamber’s not alone: Nearly every VALORANT agent receives a change in the 5.12 patch

GRANTThe community manager posted patch 5.12 notes for the Public Beta Environment tonight, detailing the full list of major agent changes that players in the PBE will be testing out later this week. Along with the proxy update are some “major game system updates” and a minor update to Spectre.

One of the most important aspects of the proxy update is the price increase for many accounts that have “large site-wide footprints.” Breach, KAY/O, and Viper’s main cost increased from seven to eight points. Pit Viper’s got some nerfs too: her smoke’s refresh time has been increased from five seconds to 25 seconds, and she can spend about half that time outside the pit before it goes away.

Most agents with push abilities will see those abilities receive a health buff. Cypher’s Trapwire, KAY/O’s ZERO/POINT knife, Killjoy’s Nanoswarm, Raze’s Blast Pack, Sova’s Recon Bolt, and of course Chamber’s Trademark now have 20 points of health instead of just one.

The new agent, Harbor, will receive a buff to make him more efficient. His high water wall is now 15 seconds instead of just 12 seconds, and his Cascade water wall is seven seconds from five.

Fade’s Prowler health decreased, Killjoy’s Lockdown device health increased, Omen’s Paranoia cost decreased, Raze’s Boom Bot health decreased, and Phoenix’s Blaze cost decreased.

Sage’s Barrier Orb boosts delay increases, and her potion heals herself less, but her allies are better. Skye’s Trailblazer is more expensive, but her Regrowth is lower. Yoru’s Gatecrash has low health, but it’s also low.

Across all agents in general, “powers that cause damage will now damage enemy items that can be completely damaged.” Essentially, any ability that deals damage can damage an area of ​​enemy use.

Finally, the range of Spectre’s damage has been changed. From zero to 15 meters, a body shot deals 26 damage. From 15 to 30 meters, 22 damage is dealt. And from above 30 meters, the gun did 20 damage. Previously, a body shot from zero to 20 meters did 26 damage, and a shot above 20 meters did 22 damage.

The current PBE testing period for 5.12 changes runs until 1pm CT on Monday, December 5.
