Japanese psychedelic band Kikagaku Moyo will perform at the Rio Theater, 1205 Soquel Ave, Santa Cruz on Saturday from 8pm to 11pm.

Kikagaku Moyo has toured all over Europe and has participated in several prestigious music festivals such as Green Man Festival and Bonaroo Music Festival.

Folk rock worship band Rend Collective brings Whoseoever Tour to Rio

Northern Irish folk rock worship band Rend Collective will arrive at the Rio Theater on Sunday at 7pm with their Whosoever Tour.

Rend Collective has had several successful albums and has been nominated for awards such as Song of the Year and Worship Album of the Year.

Folk musician Aldous Harding tours with H. Hawkline in Rio

Folk musician Aldous Harding will perform with singer-songwriter H. Hawkline Wednesday from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Rio, 1205 Soquel Ave, Santa Cruz.

In addition to her history of charting, Aldous Harding’s latest release has been hailed as unconventional yet infectious by sources including the New York Times.

Jazz funk saxophonist and singer Grace Kelly at Kuumbwa

Saxophonist/vocalist Grace Kelly will perform Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center, 320-2 Cedar St., Santa Cruz.

Kelly combines jazz and funk to be a true presence in fusion music. For this performance she celebrates the release of her new album “All That I Need”.

MAH cooperates with UCSC on “Science Tap”

The Museum of Art and History hosts “Science on Tap” on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Science on Tap is a monthly event aimed at connecting local people with research at UCSC. This month, Catherine McCaughey talks about her “great passion for small animals.”
