Oktoberfest meets Cultura An old German tradition takes over the Cultura beer garden this weekend when Oktoberfest meets Cultura.  Similar to the German Fest, the local beer garden celebrates beer with a variety of special Oktoberfest beers on tap, ready to be consumed.  It will also host a variety of events including a pitcher-holding contest, wiener dog races, a keg challenge, a street fair on Salinas Street, costume contests, live entertainment and more.  5pm to 1am Saturday. Save the Wonder Lounge Benefit Weekend Laredo's Wonder Lounge pub bar and venue is going through tough times and will be hosting two benefit concerts this weekend to keep the live music going.  Both shows will not be covers, although donations are welcomed at the door for the events.  The bar has made a name for itself in Laredo for hosting live acts and being a mecca for Laredo's metal and punk lovers.  Apollo 11, HoneyRot and Hanus will take the stage on Friday evening.  Saturday gets a little heavier with metal groups Division Black Noise, Necro Vision and Guillotine Party on the setlist.  Donations can also be made via the $wonderlounge cash app.  Doors open at 6 p.m., music at 8 p.m. Friday.
