In a class action lawsuit, car owners are suing Kia and Hyundai in Orange County for “safety issues.” The lawsuit alleges that the Orange County-based company “didn’t install technology to thwart car thieves” after a viral TikTok video “uncovered a vulnerability that allegedly caused a wave of thefts.” Kia is headquartered in Irvine and Hyundai is based in the United States outside of the Fountain Valley (City News Service)
  2. Speaking of car issues, Tesla is recalling nearly 1.1 million cars that can cause people to get their fingers caught in the window. Tesla reported the problem with the automatic window reversing system in the recalled vehicles by letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Wednesday. Tesla said they would perform an “over-the-air software update” to fix the problem. If a window closes without the proper automatic backup system, there is “a risk of injury,” the NHTSA said.
